Future of Animals
Humans live with and among animals. Humans are animals themselves, and are inextricably linked to the animal kingdom and everything around them: plants, water, air, and earth. Animals are eaten, and their products are used: leather, dairy, and manure. Animals can function as pollinators of plants, as cleaners of rivers, as companions, as processors of waste streams and as a natural solution to problems created by man. Due to the growing world population, animals and humans are increasingly close to each other. Hence, our attitude towards animals is changing. How do you relate to them? What do you think their place is in the ecosystem, and why?
We invite you to engage in a conversation, sparked by these images. Share what it triggers within you, and to listen to the voices of others. In January 2024, we will further explore the role of animals with a Let’s Explore dialogue series. Contact us if you wish to be engaged in this dialogue or to express your desire for dialogue.
